During the summer of 2011 the club, following an open meeting and the formation of 5 working groups, AHC prepared a 5 year plan which was approved by the Club committee at its September 2011 meeting. The final section, Facilties & Development was completed and approved at Club Commitee's October meeting.

Much has been acheived in the 1st year of the plan. Key acheivements in 2011/12 Season were:

Coaching and Games Development

• Appointment of Jonathan Cole as Director of Hockey
• Appointment of Managers to support coaches with Mens & Ladies teams
• Appointment of Boys Chair: Richard Harley
• Increasing length of training sessions for Girls and Boys
• Establishment of Development squad for Girls
• End of Season tours for U12,U14 and U16 Girls

Responsibility for the Coaching and Games Development part of the 5 year plan will now be led by Director of Hockey, Jonathan Cole

Commuincation, PR and Cultural

• Monthly Club Newsletter
• Club group attendance at Olympic qualifiers
• Registration day coffee morning for Girls and Boys
• Regular attendance at Girls matchs by Senior ladies players
• Website updating
• Appointment of Commuinications Officer: Ruth McDonagh

Responsibility for the Commuinication, PR and Cultural part of the 5 year plan will be led by Commuinications Officer, Ruth McDonagh with support from others.

Club Structures & Administration

• Establishment of 10 person Executive Committee
• Representation for Boys & Girls sections along side Men and Ladies
• New officer roles

Responsibilty for Structures & Administration part of the 5 year plan will be led by Vice-President, Aifric O'Malley  

Finance & Fundraising

• 5 Year financial plan to support 5 year plan drafted
• Budget for 2012/13 Season for overall club prepared and approved

Responsibility for Finance & Fundraising part of 5 year plan will be jointly led by Treasurer, Richard McKinney and Development Chair Dennis O'Connor

Facilities & Development

• Hire of 2nd Pitch at Loreto Dalkey
• 1st Club House in situ at Newpark
• Long term planning commenced

Responsibility for Facilties & Development part of 5 year plan will be led by Club President, Declan Ryan

In September 2012 the Club will host another open workship to which all stakeholders will be invited and we will development a detailed action plan forthe 2nd year of the 5 year plan
