Avoca Ladies 1st team are recruiting a player-assistant coach for the 2018-19 season:

The role will involve assisting the Head Coach in all aspects of coaching and team development and is ideally suited to someone who wants to improve their coaching skills while continuing to play at a high level.

The position is a paid role and, ideally, candidates will have formal coaching qualifications - or be working towards them - and have played IHL/Division 1 (or equivalent) in recent years.

Training takes place on Tuesday and Thursday nights in Newpark School, Blackrock, and the side will compete in Leinster Division 1, Irish Hockey Trophy and Jackie Potter Cup.

Avoca Hockey Club is also seeking talented players to join their ambitious 1st team squad. If you are interested in playing Division 1 hockey we would love to hear from you!

Avoca Hockey Club is seeking coaches for 3 of their Ladies teams for the coming season:

Ambitious, experienced coaches are required for our Ladies 2nds in Division 3, 3rds in Division 5 and 4ths in Division 9.  

This is a great opportunity to get involved with a growing club which has strong ambitions for the coming season and is underpinned by a large and talented Junior section.

Coaches will be responsible for planning and delivering challenging technical coaching sessions while providing development opportunities for talented upcoming players.  We are looking for coaches who will work together with our Director of Hockey and Ladies 1st team coach to provide a structured coaching program with a focus on tactics, fitness and gameplay.

The club has a coaching budget set aside so we are able to offer competitive rates based on qualifications and previous experience.

Training sessions will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays in Newpark School or Sion Hill, Blackrock.

Avoca Hockey Club supports development of our coaches and additional opportunities to coach in the Junior Section are possible.

Coaching experience and a minimum IHA Level One coaching qualification is required. All candidates will be subject to Garda Vetting.
